Ffasiwn Magazine Spring Summer 2024 showcases an iconic coming of age ritual: prom. Set in a typical Valleys estate and working mens club, the series features teenagers attending a surreal party. All costumes and set were made during our summer school in 2023 where we hosted costume design and set design workshops.

I Called her Lisa Marie

Liz named her daughter Lisa Marie after Elvis Presley's daughter. Clémentine Schneidermann met her in Newport, not far from Porthcawl, the seaside resort that hosts one of the biggest festivals ever to pay tribute to the ‘King’. Liz is one of the tens of thousands of fans who are lulled by nostalgia for their idol.

Ffasiwn Magazine is produced to coincide with the It's Called Ffasiwn exhibition at the Martin Parr Foundation, a collaboration between Clémentine Schneidermann, Charlotte James and children of the South Wales Valleys. The magazine is accompanied by a smaller paper zine which presents highlights from the children's sketchbooks that were involved in the project.
